Pismo residents report outbreak of graffiti

A rash of graffiti was reported by nearly a dozen Pismo Beach residents Sunday morning.

All calls came from the neighborhood north of James Way, near Price Regional Park and Chumash Park.

The first call came to the police department at 6:58 a.m., according to police logs. A person in the 100 block of La Floricita said his neighbors’ cars had “filthy” words written on them. The paint washed off with water.

Three residents in the 100 block of La Colima said someone spray painted profanity and other graffiti on their garage doors.

Residents of La Gaviota, El Viento Avenue, Shamrock Lane and Panorama Drive also reported graffiti on garage doors and vehicles. A Whitecap Street resident said all vehicles on the block had been vandalized; and that the paint was coming off, but not very well.
