Two Paso Robles residents died after a car crash Monday in Atascadero.
Margaret Wallen, 78, died after the car she was driving slid off Barranco Road about 1:30 p.m. and went down an embankment. The car was found by officers on its passenger side.
Her passenger, 52-year-old Mark Wallen, died later that day.
Both Wallens were found belted in the car when officers arrived.

A third passenger, Glen Wallen, 48 of Paso Robles, was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released. He had climbed through the car window after the accident, police said, and was sitting beside it when officers arrived.
The accident is still being investigated by Atascadero police officers.
