The state Transportation Commission this week approved $23 million for a revamped Highway 41-101 interchange.
Getting the go-ahead for the money will allow construction to begin, said Steve Devencenzi, deputy director of the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments, the countywide transportation planning agency.
The Sacramento-based commission journeyed to the Central Coast for this week’s meeting, held at the County Government Center in San Luis Obispo.
Commissioners also discussed transportation needs in other parts of the state.
