Traffic accidents blocked two 101 off-ramps this morning

The CHP is reporting two accidents this morning on Highway 101, both requiring ambulances to respond.

At 7:18, a pickup truck was in the center divider in the northbound Spyglass Drive off-ramp in the South County. The Ford Ranger may have collided with a semi-truck, according to the CHP Web site. A tow truck was called out to remove the pickup, which was facing the wrong direction. Officers said over the emergency scanner a person may have a broken leg.

At 7:21, three vehicles were involved in a crash on northbound 101 in San Luis Obispo, near Broad Street. One vehicle was in the center divider, according to the CHP Web site, and two others were blocking the off-ramp. Officers said over the emergency scanner that it appeared all the occupants were out of the vehicles. By 7:35, the roadway had been cleared and traffic was flowing normally.
