A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer suffered minor injuries Tuesday after he was ejected from his bike during a collision in San Luis Obispo.
The wreck happened around 1:30 p.m. near Santa Rosa and Oak streets when CHP Officer Rex Mohun collided with the left rear of 57-year-old Cambria-resident Stephanie Ann Elwell Mulroony’s car, San Luis Obispo Police said.
Mohun injured his hips when he was ejected from his motorcycle.
Police determined that Mulroony was driving her Subaru Legacy south on Santa Rosa Street as Mohun was driving behind her.

A small white dog ran across the street, causing several vehicles to brake abruptly, police said. When Mulroony slowed for traffic in front of her, Mohun struck the rear of her car.
His motorcycle struck the right side of a CHP car on Santa Rosa Street.
Mohun was treated at the scene and released. Mulroony complained of pain to her neck, back, and shoulders, and was taken to French Hospital.
