Federal fisheries managers will hold a two-day workshop in Arroyo Grande next week to get information from the public about developing a recovery plan for Central California’s steelhead population.The workshop will be held at the South County Regional Center, 800 Branch St., Arroyo Grande. It will cover steelhead habitat in Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties.On Wednesday, the workshop will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will cover basic information about steelhead and the threats they face. The workshop continues Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include small-group, facilitated discussions.This and other workshops are held because local information is vital in developing a recovery plan that is effective.
