Ellen Perryess, San Luis Obispo County Animal Services Shelter volunteer, and I have been working together for just over five years to feature adoptable animals at the shelter on a biweekly basis.
We started this feature to help spotlight adoptable animals in need of new homes, to help keep the shelter population down and to promote shelter adoption events.
The success rate has been high, and I hope that readers will continue to help these animals to enjoy new chapters in their lives.
Recently, Ellen mentioned senior dog Milo, who was still searching for a new forever home. I received wonderful news from Ellen that Milo’s previous owner, who had turned Milo in to the shelter because he was having trouble finding housing that would allow pets, found a new rental that allowed him to be reunited with Milo. Milo was happy to once again be with his human. And last week’s featured dog, Shadow, has also found a new forever home.
