Gifts for your pets
San Luis Obispo County Animal Shelter volunteer Ellen Perryess sent some pet-friendly ideas that also benefit the homeless pets in the county for the petlover on your gift list.
Choosing a shelter pet. Giving an Adoption-Fee Gift Certificate gives the recipient the gift of choosing their ideal pet.
Donating to help shelter animals. Donations to the SLO County Animal Services’ ARF fund help to improve the lives of shelter animals and to cover the cost of advanced veterinarian care.
Helping to reduce the number of homeless pets in the county. The Love ’Em 2012 13-month wall calendar features alumni SLO County Animal Services dogs and cats. All calendar proceeds go toward community education about what individuals can do to reduce the number of homeless pets in our county.
