A getaway to San Luis Obispo and Edna Valley Vineyard is the grand prize for a contest that will be featured on the ABC daytime talk show “The View,” according to its website.

“In celebration of the vineyard’s 35th anniversary, Edna Valley Vineyard will introduce the contest winners to the stunning scenery and casual, laid-back lifestyle of San Luis Obispo, where they will experience a taste of what life in balance is all about,” according to winemaker Joe Ibrahim.

"The View" is inviting viewers to submit creative videos explaining why they deserve the getaway in late June to the Central Coast, which is described by the show as having “gentle sunshine, cool maritime fog and rich oceanic and volcanic soils.”

Ibrahim will personally lead one winner and up to three friends, plus television personality Mario Cantone on a tour of the vineyard. The tour will be taped and aired on a segment of "The View," according to the show’s website.

Edna Valley Vineyard, one of the Central Coast's top wineries, is known for its chardonnay, which was the first varietal planted at the vineyard.

The vineyard is owned by Modesto-based E. & J. Gallo Winery.

Contest entrants must be at least 21 years old, and videos no longer than two minutes. For more information, go to http://abc.go.com/shows/the-view/news/view-news/vineyardviewcationcontest.
