Country quartet Little Big Town will postpone its upcoming concert in Paso Robles due to a band member’s illness.

The Grammy Award-winning group was scheduled to perform Tuesday at Vina Robles Amphitheatre.

But Jimi Westbrook, who sings and plays rhythm guitar in Little Big Town, is undergoing surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal cord, according to a statement on the band’s website.

"As a result, doctors have ordered him to rest his voice and completely recuperate before we continue touring,” the statement continued. “All shows through July 30 will be canceled or rescheduled.”

Jessica Puchli of Nederlander Concerts said the company is working to reschedule Little Big Town’s Paso Robles concert for sometime this fall.

“We are encouraging purchasers to please standby for more information regarding a potential new date and the status of their tickets,” Puchli said.
