Jamaican reggae artist Ziggy Marley will return to the Central Coast this summer.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner performs Aug. 14 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles.
The oldest son of reggae icon Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley recorded eight albums with his band The Melody Makers and has released six more as a solo artist, including 2014’s “Fly Rasta.” His hit songs include “Look Who’s Dancing,” “Tomorrow People” and “Tumbling Down.”
Marley is the founder of the nonprofit organization U.R.G.E. (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment), which works to help children in Ethiopia, Jamaica and other under-developed countries.
Marley, who last performed at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in 2013, is a regular visitor to the Central Coast. He has also taken the stage at the Avila Beach Golf Resort and the Pozo Saloon. Tickets for Marley’s Aug. 14 concert are $39 apiece and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
