Blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa will pay tribute to three blues legends this summer in Paso Robles.
Bonamassa will perform Aug. 24 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre as part of his Three Kings Tour honoring legendary bluesmen Albert King, B.B. King and Freddie King.
Bonamassa launched his career in 1989, when he opened for B.B. King at age 12. Over the years, he has released 16 solo albums, including 2014’s “Different Shades of Blue,” and earned a Grammy Award nomination for his 2013 album with vocalist Beth Hart, 2013’s “Seesaw.”
When he performs in Paso Robles, the guitarist will be backed by drummer Anton Fig, bassist Michael Rhodes, pianist/organist Reese Wynans, trumpeter Lee Thornburg, saxophonist Paulie Cerra and trombonist Nick Lane.
Tickets for Bonamassa’s Aug. 24 concert cost $128 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
