An injury has forced soprano Sarah Brightman to cancel her upcoming concert at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles.
Brightman was slated to perform Aug. 8 at the concert venue on the grounds of Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery. However, Brightman said in a news release, she’s decided to cancel her August tour dates in the United States.
"I have suffered a hairline fracture to my ankle and have been advised by my doctors to rest it until September by which time it will have fully recovered, “ the singer explained.
Jessica Puchli of Nederlander Concerts said refunds will be available “at the point of purchase” for those who have already purchased tickets.

Brightman is the second performer to cancel a Vina Robles concert in recent months.
In May, Nederlander Concerts announced that controversial rocker Ted Nugent’s July 13 concert had been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The concert promoter has yet to announce replacement acts for either date.
