Blues rockers Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Jonny Lang performed Thursday night at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles.

The pair headlined the second annual Evening of Blues & Brews at the Chumash Grandstand Arena.

Best known for the songs “Blue On Black,” “In 2 Deep” and “Somehow, Somewhere, Someway,” Shepherd has enjoyed widespread commercial success since making his professional debut at age 13. He previously played the fair in 2012, and performed at the Avila Beach Blues Festival in 2007 and 2009.

Lang, a Grammy Award winner whose hits include “Lie to Me,” played the Avila Beach Blues Festival in 2001 and 2010.
