Kat Kline hit a walk-off double in the second game, and the Templeton High softball team won its games 7-3 and 8-7 in a doubleheader at home over King City on Saturday.
Payton Tucker scored the winning run on Kline’s hit. Ashley Ingle went 3 for 3 with two runs, and Sydney Barlogio went 2 for 2 with a pair of runs as well. Lilly Knight was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI, and Shaylyn Coy hit a three-run home run in the fifth straight win for the Eagles (8-12).
Hailey Wyand drove in four, and Katie Murphee went 3 for 3 with two runs and a RBI in the first game.
Ingle added a pair of runs, and Coy pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and four hits.

Pacific Grove Invitational
Mission Prep’s Alyssa Caldera won the girls 400-meter race in 1 minute, 0.13 seconds and was on both the 4x100 (51.93) and 4x400 (4:21) relay teams that each placed second. Joining Caldera on the relays were Jenna Lee, Paige Baxstresser and Jacqueline San Jule.
For the boys, Kyle Van Housen won the pole vault at 13 feet, and Angel Sanchez won the 100
in 11.93 and the 200 in 24.21. Shereef Whaba placed fourth in the discus (127-0).
