The San Luis Obispo High softball team took third place in the Pioneer Valley Tournament on Saturday, beating Pioneer Valley 5-0 in six innings.
Sammy Good allowed four hits, no runs and had six strikeouts for San Luis Obispo in the third-place game. Natalie Ziegler went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Marissa Pyatt had a two-run single for the Tigers (11-8).
In the semifinals, the Tigers were no-hit by Bonaventure and lost 10-0 in five innings.

The Bearcats (9-5) split their games on the final day of the Pioneer Valley Tournament.
Against Alemany, McKayla Stone went 2 for 3 with two RBI, and Hunter Young also went 2 for 3 and picked up the win in the circle.
Chloe Kerns went 2 for 3 to lead the offense in the loss in the fifth-place game against Orange Lutheran.
Templeton 9, Orcutt Academy 2
The Eagles (3-11) won their last game of the Pioneer Valley Tournament.
Jordin Arthurs went 2 for 3 and Ashley Ingle went 2 for 2 to lead Templeton offensively, and Shaylyn Coy pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.
TRACK AND FIELD
Arroyo Grande’s Talley Hill placed third in the girls mile in 5 minutes, 1.74 seconds, and Angela Gemignani finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:16.90.
The girls distance medley relay took second place in 12:18.20 with Elizabeth Heyde running the 1,200-meter leg, Mercedes Moore running the 400, Hill running the 800 and Jocelyn Reynolds running the 1,600.
