The San Luis Obispo High baseball team won its first game of pool play, 2-0, in its own tournament against Enochs on Wednesday, scoring both of its runs in the sixth inning.
Matt Mundorf got the inning started with a single and later scored on a Brooks Hollister single. Jeremy Jess scored later in the inning on a fielder’s choice after getting aboard on an intentional walk.
Jess pitched a complete game with four hits and seven strikeouts for the Tigers (6-6).
Atascadero Easter Classic Tournament

The Greyhounds lost the opening game of their tournament, 8-6, against Ventura, as they couldn’t overcome giving up a four-run first inning.
Atascadero got one run back in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single from Spencer Erdman.
Ty Townsend had three RBI on a single and two sacrifices as the Greyhounds scored again in the third, fifth, and seventh innings, but could not keep pace with the Cougars’ seven runs in the first three innings.
Karson Block went 2 for 2, while TJ Fish pitched 42⁄3 innings, giving up just one run in relief.
Morro Bay split its two games in the tournament, beating Oak Park 3-2 and losing to Head-Royce 2-0.
Against Oak Park, Morro Bay scored all of its runs in the third inning as Orion Whitmer had a two-run double and Rajan Singh had an RBI single.
Anthony Hazel pitched 61⁄3 innings, giving up five hits and four strikeouts.
Head-Royce had a two-out, two-run double in the seventh inning to score the only runs of the game.
Parker Cyr pitched a complete game with six hits and six strikeouts for Morro Bay (5-7). Singh went 2 for 3 in each game.
Paso Robles at Righetti Tournament
The Bearcats split their first two games, beating Buhach Colony 6-3 and losing for the first time this season, 3-1 to Thousand Oaks.
Against Buhach Colony, Bailey Gaither and Mark Armstrong both went 2 for 4, Gaither had two runs and Armstrong had two RBI for Paso Robles, which was playing at home because of bad field conditions at Righetti.
Jeff Neumann pitched 4 2⁄3 innings with two runs and three strikeouts.
Against Thousand Oaks, Paso Robles’ rally fell short as Ben Meacham scored on a bases-loaded hit by pitch, but Mark Armstrong lined out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh.
Gaither went 2 for 4 in the second game as well for the Bearcats (12-1).
Arroyo Grande at Don Lugo Tournament
The Eagles lost to Burroughs 5-2 and Don Lugo 6-3 after leading in both games.
Against Burroughs, Arroyo Grande took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Anthony Bautista’s RBI hit, and a 2-1 lead in the third as Nolan Elias was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, before giving up four runs in the last four innings.
Carter Thomas went 2 for 3 for the Eagles (8-5).
Against Don Lugo, Arroyo Grande took a 1-0 in the first inning as Elias scored on Ryan Teixeira’s sacrifice fly.
The Eagles regained reh lead at 3-2 in the third on Cole Cunningham and Dawson Rubio RBI groundouts, but then gave up four consecutive runs.
