The Atascadero High boys basketball team beat St. Joseph 54-47 at home on Wednesday night as the Greyhounds were able to coast off a 39-23 halftime lead.
Ryan O’Connell led the way with 13 points and was closely followed by Gaby Perry, who had 11 points for Atascadero (8-5, 2-0 PAC 8).
Taylor Kim added eight points for the Greyhounds, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Logan Scarson chipped in seven points.

Quinton Adlesh had 10 points and six assists, and Brandon Jones also had 10 points as Mission Prep coasted to a league win.
Carter Gran notched a game-high 12 points for the Royals (9-4, 2-0 PAC 8).
Paso Robles 46, San Luis Obispo 40
Jason Germain had 16 points, and Josh Oliver added 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Bearcats (6-7, 1-1 PAC 8).
Chase Braun led the Tigers (7-9, 0-2) with 13 points.
Righetti 59, Arroyo Grande 51
Keanu Morrison scored 13 points and Jack Hogeboom added 11, but the Eagles fell at home to Stanford-bound Cameron Walker and the Warriors.
Cobe Williams had 10 points for Arroyo Grande, which trailed 32-16 at halftime but made things interested by outscoring Righetti 21-15 in the fourth quarter.
Walker finished with a game-high 23.
Santa Ynez 49, Templeton 42
Aiden Sarbeck had a game-high 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds, but the Eagles could not overcome a nine-point halftime deficit.
Despite scoring only 23 points through the first three quarters, the Eagles scored 19 points in the final quarter before falling short.
St. Joseph 46, Atascadero 37
The Greyhounds comeback fell short as Sabrina Degnan had a team-high 10 points.
Degnan scored seven of her 10 in the third quarter as the Greyhounds took a one-point lead before the Knights pulled away in the fourth.
Paso Robles 48, San Luis Obispo 40
Gwen Lundy had a game-high 19 points as the Bearcats earned their first league win since Jan. 23, 2013.
Whitney Burns scored a team-high 12 points for the Tigers, and Megan Stoudenmire had 11 points.
Karlee Ulrich added 15 points for Paso Robles (4-7, 1-1 PAC 8).
Arroyo Grande 46, Righetti 38
Ashlyn Herlihy had 23 points, and Brynn Thoming added 11 points for the Eagles.
Arroyo Grande (11-2, 2-0 PAC 8) outscored Righetti 21-14 in the first half to pull away.
Pioneer Valley 59, Mission Prep 57
Noelle Laird scored 15 points, and Carly Colvin had 12 points for the visiting Royals (7-5, 0-2 PAC 8).
Santa Maria 51, Morro Bay 42
Eliza Lewis had 13 points, and Alexis Lewis had eight points for Morro Bay.
Cabrillo 62, Nipomo 35
Kiesa Romero scored 12 points, and Jordynn Dorado had 10 in Nipomo’s league-opening loss.
