The Arroyo Grande High girls volleyball team beat Heritage Christian 3-0 in the first round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 2AA playoffs Tuesday night in Arroyo Grande as the Eagles had a total of 47 kills from six different players.
Emily Sonny and Ashlyn Herlihy led the way with 17 kills apiece, while Alaina Hogeboom had 43 assists and four kills in the 25-8, 25-13, 25-15 win.
Jamie Walsh, Sam Oliver and Brynn Thoming combined for nine kills to complete the balanced attack for Arroyo Grande (25-3).
The Eagles advance to play Thursday against the winner of La Canada and Costa Mesa.

Templeton 3, Rosemead 0
Josi Kelly had 21 assists and 12 aces to help Templeton sweep Rosemead 25-14, 25-9, 25-12 in the first round of the Division 3A playoffs.
Sarah Bolts had 10 digs, Elsa Strysko and Lucy Portillo added seven kills apiece, and Lauren Ralston had six kills and eight digs for the Eagles (26-7).
Downey 3, San Luis Obispo 1
Rilee Day had nine kills, while Kaitlyn Kimball and Morgan Day had eight kills each for the Tigers, as they lost on the road 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22 in the first round of the Division 2AA playoffs.
Sage Kelley added 25 assists, and Callie Hamari had 12 digs for San Luis Obispo (22-8).
Mayfield 3, Mission Prep 0
Noelle Laird had seven kills, and Eleri Perryman had seven assists as the Royals lost on the road 25-13, 25-13, 25-17 in the first round of the Division 2AA playoffs.
Jennifer Laird added four kills and three blocks for Mission Prep (10-7).
San Dimas 3, Morro Bay 0
Sierra Emrick had 11 kills, and Sybella Parades had 24 digs and seven kills in a 25-19, 25-23, 27-25 loss on the road.
Coast Union 3, Riverside Christian 0
Sage Radecki had 32 assists and 11 digs in the Broncos’ 25-11, 25-16, 25-19 victory in the first round of the Division 5AA playoffs.
Janelle Bohey had 12 digs and six kills, Patty Bucio had 12 digs, Xue DiMaggio added eight kills, and Gigi Stoothoff served up five aces for the Broncos (14-6).
Coastal Christian 3, Glendale Adventist 2
Roni Garrison had 45 digs and 15 kills in Coastal Christian’s back-and-forth 19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 21-25, 15-13 win against Glendale Adventist in the first round of the Division 5AA playoffs in Glendale.
Audrey Berdar had 24 assists for the Conquerors (9-13), who will play Santa Clarita Christian, the No. 1 seed, on Thursday in Santa Clarita.
BOYS WATER POLO
Atascadero 16, Brentwood 12
Dylan Hughes scored seven goals, and Dylan Linnenkamp added six more as the Greyhounds (16-13) won their CIF-Southern Section Division 4 wild-card game on the road.
James Fisher had 11 saves, and three other players scored a goal for Atascadero, which was the PAC 8’s fourth-place team.
The Greyhounds will travel Thursday to El Segundo (22-5), which won the Ocean League and is the division’s No. 3 seed.
Troy 10, San Luis Obispo 6
Emerson Trout had two goals for San Luis Obispo in Division 4 wild-card game at Fullerton Junior College.
Jamison Johnson also had two goals, and Connor Troy had eight saves for the Tigers (19-7).
