Sally Bowles was 2 for 4 with four RBI, including a two-run home run, and struck out three in four innings as the Atascadero High softball team topped San Luis Obispo 14-4 in five innings Monday in Atascadero to stay undefeated in league play.
Leadoff hitter Nique Mack was 2 for 2 with a walk and a hit by pitch and scored four runs for the Greyhounds (20-3-1, 7-0 PAC 7). Mckenzi Etchison was 3 for 4, and Ally Reagan hit a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for Atascadero, which has won eight straight.
Hanna Murphy was 2 for 3 for the Tigers (8-15, 1-7), and Campbell Warren and Megan Norris both drove in a run.
Atascadero 14, Paso Robles 4
Top singles player Brendan Adams won 6-0, 6-1, 6-1 for the Greyhounds (13-5, 5-4 PAC 7). The doubles teams of Elias Jordan and Ross Schaefer (6-2, 6-1, 6-0), and Luke Reilly and Yuma Olson (6-3, 6-4, 6-0) also won all three of their sets for Atascadero.
Arroyo Grande 413, Atascadero 434
Jack Avrit and Conner Sandman both turned in scores of 78 to lead the Eagles at par-72 Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
Raleigh Deering also shot an 83 for Arroyo Grande (8-1, 6-1).
Donnie Hedrick finished with an 81 to lead the Greyhounds.
San Luis Obispo 215, Orcutt Academy 266
Nils Figueroa and Evan Smith both shot a 6-over 41 to lead the Tigers in a nine-hole contest at Rancho Maria.
Trevor Porter shot a 42 for San Luis Obispo (8-1).

Greg Potruch shot a match-best 76 to lead the Bearcats at their home course, par-72 Hunter Ranch.
Bailey Flickinger shot an 86 for Paso Robles.

Luca Bruno shot a 2-over 37 to lead all golfers, but the Pirates fell in a nine-hole match at Morro Bay Golf Course.
Rayce Francis shot a 47, and Bryon Scott and Garrett Holdstock both shot 49 for Morro Bay.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
Boys: Cabrillo 92, Morro Bay 77; Girls: Cabrillo 100, Morro Bay 69
Morro Bay’s boys suffered their first loss in Los Padres League duals at the Lompoc Aquatic Center despite standout performances from Travis Chirman and Joel Wilkie.
Chirman won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 10.59 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 59.0, and Wilkie took the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.56 and the 200 freestyle in 1:55.8. The Pirates’ 400 freestyle relay comprised of Chirman, Wilkie, Jack Malzone and Matt Franzamann won in 3:34.75.
On the girls side, Morro Bay’s Katie White won the 50 free in 26.2 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.9, Torie White won the 200 freestyle in 2:08.15 and the 100 freestyle in 57.06, and Alissa Marvin won the 200 IM in 2:22.42 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:12. The Pirates’ girls 200 medley relay comprised of both Whites, Marvin and Olivia MacDonald won with an automatic CIF-Southern Section qualifying time of 1:59.14.
Morro Bay’s boys are 5-1 in LPL duals, and its girls are 4-2.
Paso Robles’ Spencer commits to Sierra College for basketball
Paso Robles senior shooting guard Anthony Spencer will continue his basketball career at Sierra College, a community college in Rocklin.
Spencer averaged 11.4 points per game for the Bearcats (11-14, 3-9 PAC 7), earning All-County honorable mention accolades.
Former Bearcat Moore headed to NJIT for swimming
Collin Moore, who graduated from Paso Robles in 2013, has signed a national letter of intent to accept a swimming scholarship at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Moore was a two-time CIF-Southern Section finalist in the 100 butterfly, and was a member of the Bearcats’ water polo team as well.
Templeton’s Martinelli to play football at Cal Lutheran
Templeton tight end and linebacker Spencer Martinelli has committed to play football at Cal Lutheran, the school announced.
Martinelli, who was awarded an academic scholarship, will be honored at a ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Templeton main office.
