The San Luis Obispo High girls volleyball team swept El Segundo 25-20, 25-19, 25-19 in its Southern Section Division 2AA opening playoff match Tuesday.
The Tigers (23-7) advance to play the winner of Tuesday’s Downey-Monrovia match Thursday.
San Luis Obispo’s Holland Boege led the Tigers in kills with seven, Maggie Eppright had 22 assists, and Erin Good added 13 digs.
Templeton 3, Arrowhead Christian 0

Heather Fields had 11 kills, 10 digs and four aces to lead Templeton to a 25-12, 25-13, 25-13 sweep of Arrowhead Christian in a Division 3A first-round playoff match.
Carly Roth had 10 kills and five aces, Autumn Russell had eight kills, two aces and two blocks, Mari Stewart had six kills and two aces and Lindsey Wyatt had 13 digs for Templeton (15-3).
Templeton, which ended Santa Ynez’s long reign as Los Padres League champions, will face the winner of Tuesday’s San Dimas-Ramona match Thursday in the second round.
Nipomo 3, El Monte 0
The Titans (18-8) downed El Monte 25-12, 25-13, 25-18 in their first-round Division 3A playoff match.
“The girls came together well as a team and got the job done with great enthusiasm,” Nipomo coach David Cassidy said.
Cristina Ozzimo paced Nipomo with 32 assists.
Paige Waymire had 16 kills, Taylor Nevitt, Kiana Worth each had five aces and Sarah Stahl had 23 digs for the Titans.
Santiago 3, Atascadero 1
In the Division 2AA first round playoff match, the Greyhounds (16-9) lost 25-13, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16.
Mary Kate Evans had 11 kills and three blocks, Sofia Guerrier had seven kills and three aces, Chandler Haskell had seven kills and Kendall Featherstone had 14 digs and four kills.
Coast Union 3, Hamilton 0
Karla Soto had 19 digs and nine kills to lead the Broncos (13-6) to a 25-13, 25-22, 26-24 sweep in their first-round Division 5AA playoff match.
Roxy Mertens had eight kills, Amy Avina had six kills, four aces and 14 digs and Sage Radecki added 35 assists for Coast Union, which will play at Excelsior Charter on Thursday.
