The San Luis Obispo High boys water polo team beat Beverly Hills 11-7 in a Division 4 CIF-Southern Section wild-card game Tuesday.
The Tigers, who finished in third place in the PAC 7, advance to the first round of CIF-Southern Section playoffs and will play at Cerritos on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Chase Andersen had four goals in Tuesday’s win, Dan Crozier had three, and Nolan Morgan, Nick Eaton, Kyle Sweasey and Derek Tolin each had one for the Tigers.
San Luis Obispo goalie Kent Murphy had 12 saves.

Redlands 10, Paso Robles 5
The Bearcats (14-15) had a slow start to their game after a long drive to Redlands High.
Paso Robles rallied for three goals in the fourth quarter, but lost to the Terriers in the Division 4 wild-card round.
Mason Keller had two goals, and Morgan Moore, Seth Wilkinson and Daniel Maloney each had one for Paso Robles.
Goalkeeper Ben Nagengast had nine saves for the Bearcats.
Redlands goalie Cal Mende, a 6-foot-8 freshman, had 15 saves.
Palm Desert 22, Morro Bay 9
The Pirates (13-14) fell to Palm Desert in their Southern Section Division 6 wild-card round game.
This was the first time Morro Bay had ever sent a boys water polo team to the CIF-Southern Section playoffs.
“Our goal for the season was to make CIF playoffs,” Pirates coach
Jim Waska said. “We accomplished those goals, and after today’s game we have no regrets. They played with everything they had.”
The Pirates’ leading scorer was Mac Reinhart with three goals, Marco Maffioli had two, and Alexander McKee, Connor Rose, Grant Johnson and Jack Krull each had one.
Goalie Jack Krull had nine saves for Morro Bay.
