Arroyo Grande High dominated the PAC 7 girls tennis finals Friday, placing first and second in singles and second, third and fourth in doubles.
Arroyo Grande sophomore Sophie Whittle defeated teammate Lauren Hayashi 6-3, 6-2 in the girls singles final for the second straight season.
“Both players demonstrated terrific poise,” Arroyo Grande coach Lori Hollister said, “forcing each other to really earn points. (Whittle) has matured in terms of her patience on the court.”
Whittle was 24-0 in PAC 7 league sets.

Paso Robles’ Maria Petiy beat St. Joseph’s Claire Boquet 8-4 in the third-place singles match.
Atascadero’s doubles team of Amber Petersen and Mallory Miller defeated Arroyo Grande’s team of Amber Domako and Zoe Miller 6-2, 6-1 in that final. Petersen and Miller entered the tournament seeded sixth.
The Arroyo Grande team of Alexis Flood and Chelsea Pudwill defeated teammates Melina Rodgers and Joanne Phung 8-1 in the third-place match.
Team playoff pairing for the CIF-Southern Section will be announced Monday.
Individually, the first- and second-place finishers in singles and doubles move on to the CIF-Southern Section Individual Sectionals on Nov. 19 in Carpinteria. The third-place finishers are alternates.
LOS PADRES LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Seventh-seeded Sierra Wilcox of Morro Bay upset No. 2 Katie Voorhis of Santa Ynez to advance to the semifinals, becoming the only Morro Bay player to advance past the first round.
After splitting their meetings during the season, Wilcox topped Voorhis 8-3 in the second round but fell to unseeded Rikky
Patel of Cabrillo 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in the semifinals. Wilcox beat Santa Maria’s Brittany Gomez 8-2 in the first round.
Valley Christian 3, Shandon 0
The Outlaws (1-10 Coast Valley League) were swept by the Lions 25-12, 25-14, 25-18.
Carina Ramirez had eight aces for Shandon.
