Arroyo Grande High boys golfer Mitch Martin fired a 1-over 73 to lead the Eagles to a 381 total and second place in the CIF-Southern Section Central Coast Team Divisional tournament at Cypress Ridge Golf Course on Monday.
Martin’s score put him second in the individual standings.
The Eagles will make their first trip to the Southern Section final, which will start Thursday morning at Rancho San Marcos Golf Course in Santa Barbara.
“We played well today,” Arroyo Grande coach Jeff Byars said. “We’re excited. I thought everyone did a good job. 381 is a very good score and we’re happy we’re moving on.”

Doug Merrin, Josh Schneider and Cobe Williams each finished with a 75 for the Eagles, while Alex Lynn had an 83. Arroyo Grande was sandwiched between winner Santa Barbara (378) and third-place Dos Pueblos (382) in the final standings.
San Marcos’ Thayler White was the medalist at 71.
Brandon Erickson had a 77 to lead Atascadero (405), and Adam Zakaria also carded a 77 to lead San Luis Obispo (412).
BOYS TENNIS PLAYOFF BRACKETS
Arroyo Grande will host a first-round CIF-Southern Section playoff match Wednesday afternoon, while San Luis Obispo, Atascadero and Templeton will be on the road.
In Division 2, PAC 7 champion Arroyo Grande (16-1) will face Oxnard (11-8), and PAC 7 runner-up San Luis Obispo (12-5) will play at West Ranch in Stevenson Ranch, near Santa Clarita. And Atascadero (7-10) will have a wild-card match at South Hills (13-5) in West Covina.
In Division 4, Los Padres League runner-up Templeton (13-3) will compete at La Quinta. All matches are set for 3 p.m.
