Six North County Christian High baseball pitchers combined to allow one hit in the Crusaders’ 6-5 home win over Cuyama Valley on Monday.
Though they walked 11 batters, Crusaders pitchers struck out 15 in the victory.
Dalton Nettleton went 2 for 2 with a run, and Jonathan Katches went 2 for 4 with two RBI and a run for North County Christian (6-4, 4-1 Coast Valley League).
North County Christian remains tied for first place in the CVL after its fourth straight win. The Crusaders are tied with Valley Christian Academy.
Katches started and pitched two innings, striking out four. Keelan Willison pitched the seventh for the save, striking out two.Trailing 4-0, Cuyama Valley (2-5, 1-4 CVL) scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning.
The Crusaders answered with two in the bottom half to reclaim the lead for good.

Isabelle Unger and Roni Garrison each had two hits and Amy Arnold finished with three RBI for the Conquerors (1-8, 1-6 CVL), who scored four of their runs in the top of the fourth inning to get ahead 5-4.
The Conquerors had their other run in the first.
Valley Christian Academy (6-3, 5-1 CVL) knocked in five runs in the final three innings, including three in the fifth, to come away with its fifth win in six games.
