With play suspended after 14 holes at the NCAA Colorado Regional, Cal Poly’s Geoff Gonzalez sits tied for 20th after Thursday’s round.
The round began in 38-degree weather and was suspended hours later because of thunder and lightning over the course. There were 33 golfers who were still playing when the first round was suspended. The first round will finish this morning, followed by the second round.
The current leader, with two holes to play, is Zahkai Brown of Colorado State, who shot a 7-under 65.
This is the third time that Gonzalez is competing in a NCAA regional.
