Two Arroyo Grande High girls water polo players earned all-CIF Southern Section Division 3 first-team honors Monday.
Kim Johnson and Katie Sverchek, both juniors, were each named to the first team for the Eagles. Sverchek, the PAC 7 MVP, scored 71 goals for the season, and Johnson had 64.
Arroyo Grande finished this past season 27-6 overall, falling in the semifinals of the Division 3 playoffs, 11-4 to eventual champion Murrieta Valley.The Eagles won the PAC 7 title this year and will bring a 78-game league winning streak into next season.
Arroyo Grande also had Kylie Anderson, Hannah Kope and Alexa May earn all-Division 3 second-team honors, and teammate Caitlyn Taylor was named to the third team, coach Steven Allen said.
Anderson, the Eagles’ goalkeeper, had a 66-percent saves percentage for the year.

Arroyo Grande finished ninth among 33 teams at par-71 North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village with a three-man score of 253.
Mitch Martin and Fredrik Stenson both shot 83 to lead the Eagles, and Rik Mersai had an 87.
For Nipomo, which didn’t field enough players to have a complete team score, Alex Mueller carded an 82, with Steve Canales at 87.Chaminade won with a team score of 223.

Macgregor Hoobery was the medalist, shooting a 73 to lead the Warriors to the PAC 7 dual win at Hunter Ranch Golf Course.

Joe Shorma carded a nine-hole 55 to lead the Broncos at Morro Bay Golf Course.
Morro Bay 222, Santa Maria 275
Doug Chesbro led the Pirates by shooting a nine-hole total of 38.
