The San Luis Obispo High girls volleyball team got its ninth win of the season with a 25-22, 25-21, 25-15 home win over Mission Prep on Thursday.
Elizabeth Culpepper was the San Luis Obispo (9-2) kill leader with 15, and teammate Beth Hoyt racked up a respectable 12. Kennedy Peters played impressively accruing 37 assists. Linnea Ramirez added 25 digs.
“The Tigers were very consistent, ran a fast offense, and had good hitters,” Royals coach Michelle Lakey said. “We played solid defense, but they were able to come out on top.”
Kerstin Sanders led Mission Prep with 13 digs and four kills. Andrea Fernandez added 12 digs, four blocks and eight kills. Deirdre Laird had 15 assists.

Arroyo Grande 3, Pioneer Valley 0
The Eagles rolled over Pioneer Valley, winning 25-7, 25-3, 25-10.
Alyssa Koenig had a team-best seven kills with three blocks and three aces for Arroyo Grande (5-0, 2-0 PAC 7)Nicole Leger added six kills and four of Arroyo Grande’s 16 aces.
Paso Robles 3, Atascadero 0
The Bearcats won 25-19, 25-21, 25-11 at home.
Tess Rountree had a match-high 14 kills for Paso Robles (8-2, 2-0 PAC 7). She added four blocks and five digs.
Atascadero (4-6, 0-2) was led by Brianna Norlock’s 10 kills, while Brittany Davis added six.
Molly Donovan had seven kills for the Bearcats.
Templeton 3, Santa Maria 0
Templeton remained unbeaten in Los Padres League play with a 25-7, 25-21, 25-16 win.
Natalie Madson had a team-best five kills while Carly Roth, Camille Cherry, Jeanine Madson and Chantel Camping added four apiece.
Nipomo 3, Morro Bay 0
The Titans (7-5) swept the Pirates in the LPL opener for both teams, 25-19, 25-14, 25-20.
Christina Ozzimo had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 assists for Nipomo. Stephanie Persky added five kills and four aces, and Siahna O’Connor had six kills.
Shandon 3, Cuyama Valley 0
The Outlaws got a 25-14, 25-18, 25-19 Coast Valley League win.
Kayla Celis added a team-high 10 kills and three aces, while Adilene Torres had five digs and four aces.
Ashley DeBruler added 20 assists and three aces for Shandon (2-1, 2-0 CVL).
Coast Union 3, Maricopa 1
The Broncos got their second victory of the season, winning the CVL match 25-13, 25-17, 22-25, 25-7.
Sophie Flemion had eight kills, 30 assists and five aces for the Broncos. Nicky Ortiz had 13, and teammate Katelyn Lorenz contributed seven kills and five aces.
Valley Christian 3, North County Christian 0
The Lions swept the CVL match 26-24, 25-19, 25-10.
Cristy Scarson had seven kills for North County Christian, Brianna Feld had six kills and Jessica Yoshida had 11 digs.
BOYS WATER POLO
Paso Robles 11, Atascadero 6
Austin McCall had a match-high five goals for the Bearcats (3-5, 2-0 PAC 7), while Spencer Silva added three.
Chad Ponek led Atascadero (1-2) with two goals. The Greyhounds trailed 5-2 at halftime.
San Luis Obispo 14, Morro Bay 5
The Tigers got two goals each from Zach Flachman, Dom Magliari, Jackson Allison, Jake O’Conner and Trevor Meinhold to beat Morro Bay.
Anders Johnson and Tyler Fraser scored two goals each for Morro Bay (1-6), while Mac Reinhart made seven saves.
Ian Anderson, Seth Brown, Tyler Branaird and Kirk Ogren also tallied once for San Luis Obispo (5-4).
Arroyo Grande 16, Pioneer Valley 3
The Eagles scored seven goals in the first quarter and led 12-1 at halftime.
Kevin Meffert led the Eagles with four goals, Taylor Ross had three goals and Tanner Sandman and Cisco Bass both added two goals.
Arroyo Grande 14, Atascadero 4
The Eagles (6-0) remained undefeated with the PAC 7 victory.
Brianna and Tammy Turner swept their doubles sets 6-2, 7-5, 6-2. Stephani and Amber Domako swept their three sets 6-0, 6-3, 6-1.
Arroyo Grande’s other doubles team, Courtney King and Maurisa Dominguez, took two of their three sets.
Amber Petersen was responsible for most of the Greyhounds points, sweeping her singles match 6-2, 7-5, 6-0.
San Luis Obispo 16, Paso Robles 2
Lili Voisinet and Tori Troesch swept three singles sets to lead the Tigers (3-0, 2-0 PAC 7).
The doubles team of Maddie Hansen and Coreen Owens won three sets for San Luis Obispo.
Morro Bay 15, Nipomo 3
The Pirates had three sweeps over the Titans (0-6, 0-3 LPL).
Megan Hansen cruised through her three sets 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. The doubles team of Jessica Wagner and Sierra Wilcox won their sets 6-3, 6-0, 6-4.
Tessa Underwood won two of her three singles sets for Nipomo.
Templeton 15, Santa Maria 3
Erin Roberts and Danielle Grassi both swept three singles sets for Templeton, while the tandem of Shelby Baum and Nicole Roberts swept three doubles sets.

Righetti again took the top spot in a PAC 7 tournament played at Dairy Creek Golf Course.
Righetti had five or its six players shoot 45 or under for nine holes, including Dani O’Keefe who had the team and tournament low with a 37. Teammate Makayla Mier shot a 40.
Anna Zhang led Arroyo Grande with a 44. Katelyn Guy and Gillian Johnson tied for the team best for San Luis Obispo at 47.
Santa Ynez 207, Cabrillo 246, Nipomo 272, Morro Bay 296, Lompoc 324, Santa Maria 345
Santa Ynez won the LPL tournament at Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
Morro Bay had its best performance from Jennifer Baltimore, who shot a 53. Jessica Haney added a 59 for the Pirates.
