The Arroyo Grande High girls tennis team competed at the Valencia Fall Brawl on Saturday.
Singles player Mary Waterman won her first set 8-1, and lost to No. 2-seeded Taylor Newman of Simi Valley, 8-4.
Emma Mostajo lost to Joyce Kim from Golden Valley, 8-3, in singles, but went on to win her first-round consolation match, 8-5 over Hart’s Cami Hernandez, before dropping her second consolation match, 8-0 to Sierra Paoili of Simi Valley.
In doubles, the Eagles team of Josphine Graeber and Lauren Midyett won their first match, 8-4 over Hart’s Sam Ortiz and Monica Folgar. Graeber and Midyett faced the No. 1-seeded team of Olivia Bloome and Brittany Waugh in their next match, and lost 8-2.

Arroyo Grande’s Casey Lieberman and Lily Bickmore lost to the No. 3 seed, Carlie Ozaki and Megan Cho from Saugus, 8-2, and lost in their consolation match to Leena Schlts and Adrienne Kasay from Canyon, 8-4.
