The San Luis Obispo High boys water polo team defeated Cabrillo 11-2 Thursday in Lompoc to get its second win of the season.
On defense, goalie Andrew Maas had six saves, and Galen Penvenne had five goals on offense for the 2-0 Tigers. Vander Rolph and Ben Hurley added three and two goals, respectively for San Luis Obispo.
The Tigers held the Conquistadores scoreless in the second and fourth quarters.
San Luis Obispo is at Righetti on Tuesday.
Santa Ynez 13, Paso Robles 12
Wyatt Spencer had four goals, and Zach Tucker and Mitchell Iunker each had three goals in the loss for the Bearcats.
The score was tied 7-7 at the half, and went back and forth until 1:48 left in the fourth quarter, when Santa Ynez scored the go-ahead goal.
Iver Hansen had 12 saves, and Garrett Wilson and Cy Quinn had a pair of goals for Paso Robles, which travels to the Conejo Classic on Friday, where it will face Camarillo at 2:50 p.m.
