Bradley Mickey had himself a game. Again.
In Arroyo Grande's Friday night 45-13 win over Independence, Mickey scored a career-high four touchdowns.
First on a 4-yard run. Then on a 99-yard catch and run on a pass from quarterback Sawyer May. Then again on a 59-yard catch.
And finally on a one-handed pick-6 for the ages.
Never miss a local story.
"I don't know how I made that catch," Mickey said.
In the third quarter, Mickey saw something familiar as the Falcons quarterback dropped back.
"I remember them running that play earlier in the game and then they ran it again," Mickey said. "But I wasn't going up to catch it one-handed."
But in one fluid motion, Mickey snatched the ball out of the air with his right hand, cupped it, and took it 20 yards for the score without ever touching the ball with his left. (Watch It Here)
Mickey now leads the 2-0 Eagles with five touchdowns.
