The Cuesta College men’s water polo team, ranked No. 4 in the state, beat Ventura 11-5 on Wednesday.
Former Arroyo Grande High star Eric Marsh led the Cougars (18-6, 3-0 Western State Conference) with four goals, while teammate Luka Vukomanovic added three. Tom Ross made 10 saves in goal for Cuesta, which has won 11 in a row.
Cuesta women falls to Ventura
The Cuesta women’s water polo team fell 8-5 to Ventura.

Ally Bernard and Nipomo High grad Julia Tatarian each scored twice for the Cougars, while Atascadero alumna Loren Kasenberg made seven saves in defeat.
Bernard had six steals, bringing her state-leading season total to 123.
Cuesta wrestlers headed to all-star meet
Cuesta College wrestlers Nestor Ruelas (149 pounds) and Sean Dougherty (197) — the latter of whom is undefeated — will compete for the Southern California regional team at the North-South All-Star Dual Meet at 4 p.m. Saturday at Embassy Suites in Monterey.
The Cougars’ Jon Gay, Spencer Anderson and Charlie Galaviz are alternates.
Nipomo boys water polo team stays perfect in LPL
The Nipomo High boys water polo team routed Morro Bay 18-5 to stay unbeaten in Los Padres League play.
Marc Baker had six goals for the Titans (16-5, 4-0 LPL), while Cole Holloway added four.
Kirk Wilenius made nine saves for Nipomo, which is ranked No. 3 in Division 7 of the CIF-Southern Section.
