The Cuesta College baseball team sent seven players to the All-Western State Conference team, including outfielder Matt Anderson and pitcher Jon Moscot receiving first team recognition.
Anderson is hitting .311 on the season but saw his average increase to .329 in league play. His batting average, home runs (four) and RBI (29) all rank second on the team.
Moscot (6-2) has started a season-high nine games for the Cougars (20-17), and leads the team in innings pitched (571⁄3), strikeouts (49) and ERA (2.04).
Catcher Mitchell Prophet and reliever Phillip Gerber were named to the conference second team.

Prophet is hitting .252 with four home runs and 13 RBI while guiding the Cougars’ pitchers to a combined 4.40 ERA.
Gerber (2-2) has thrown 521⁄3 innings mostly in relief after appearing in a team-high 17 games. He is second on the team in ERA (2.92) and threw Cuesta’s only complete-game shutout this season in one of his four starts.
Joining the other Cougars on the all-conference honorable mention list are first baseman Ty Muller, outfielder Zach Steele and reliever John Tiedemann.
