Jon Moscot pitched a complete game to lead the Cuesta College baseball team to a 2-1 win over Cypress on Tuesday in San Luis Obispo.
Moscot scattered eight hits while striking out four and walking two to improve to 6-1.
Ty Muller and Bret Hartman had run-scoring singles in the first inning to provide Cuesta (12-10) with all the scoring it needed.
Matt Anderson and TJ Filicia had the other hits for the Cougars.
Cuesta chased Cypress starter Vince Payne after allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in just 11⁄3 innings.

The Cougars (14-6-1, 8-3 Western State Conference) got triples from Megan Donovan and McKenna Coelho in the opener.
Coelho added a double and three RBI for Cuesta, which put the game away with three runs in the sixth inning.
In the second game, Donovan and Laura Haines each had a double, and the Cuesta offense produced 18 hits.
Rachel Thompson won both games for the Cougars, allowing just one earned run on four hits total in the two games.
Samantha Detwiler added a triple in the second game.
“We hit the ball pretty well today and all but two people had hits,” Cuesta head coach Mike Steuerwald said.
Cal Poly had today’s road match at Pepperdine postponed because of forecasted rain.
The teams have not yet reached a makeup date.
The Mustangs (13-3, 5-0 Big West) will host conference co-leader Long Beach State (13-3, 5-0) at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
