The Cal Poly men’s golf team shot a 282 in the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Princeville, Hawaii, on Tuesday and dropped to eighth place after posting a fifth-place first round of 280 on Monday.
After a first-day score of 67, sophomore Justin De Los Santos led the way again with a 4-under 68 for a two-day total of 135 and sixth place for the Mustangs.
Cal Poly also had Camden Price end the second day at 13th with a 67 and 71 for 138, Jimmy Castles in 29th with a 73 and a 69 for 142, and Mitchell Martin and Nick Engelhardt are tied at 55th shooting identical scores of 73 and 74 for 147.
Georgia Tech remained in first place with a two-day total of 545 while Pepperdine’s Frederick Wedel improved on his first-day score of 64 with a 63 for a two-day score of 127.
The tournament concludes today.
