Matt Imhof won his fifth game in six starts, and Chris Hoo drove in two runs as the Cal Poly baseball team won its 18th straight game at Baggett Stadium, 4-1, over Cal on Friday.
Imhof went 7 2⁄3 innings, scattering three hits and four walks while striking out nine.
The No. 7 Mustangs (18-3) compiled 11 hits, including a 3-for-4 performance by second baseman Mark Mathias, who drove in a run and scored one as well.
Hoo went 2 for 3 and Jimmy Allen tripled in the sixth before coming home to score the game-winning run on a Mathias single.

Jordan Ellis singled home Peter Van Gansen for an insurance run in the eighth, and Taylor Chris struck out two to earn the save.
Cal Poly has won eight straight games and faces the Golden Bears (10-10) again today at 6 p.m.

UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational
San Luis Obispo High graduate and UC Irvine sophomore Bridget Devaney tied the school’s hammer throw record at the invitational’s first day of competition.
Devaney’s throw of 166 feet, 11 inches tied Jessica Imani’s throw in 2012 and paced her to a sixth-place finish.
Cal Poly at NCAA Tournament
Devon Lotito fell 4-1 to Michigan’s Rossi Bruno in his first match Friday, ending the 133-pound Cal Poly sophomore’s season.
Lotito finished the tournament 2-2, picking up a pair of victories Thursday after dropping his opening-round match.
Lotito ended the year with a 24-11 record.
