Both Cal Poly cross country teams put four runners in the top 10 on Friday as the Mustangs swept the team titles at the Fresno State Invitational at Woodward Park.
Led by individual winner Swarnjit Boyal, Cal Poly won the men’s team title over the 6K course with 33 points to 46 for runner-up Stanford and 64 for third-place San Jose State. Sacramento State was fourth with 114 points.
Boyal finished in 18 minutes, 8.9 seconds, topping runner-up Ben Branagh of San Jose State by almost 20 seconds.
Also in the top 10 for the Mustangs were Albert Gamez (fourth, 18:31.3), Garrett Migliozzi (fifth, 18:31.5) and Devon Grove (eighth, 18:34.0).
The Mustangs won the women’s meet 37-49 over Stanford, with Sacramento State third with 87.
Cal Poly’s Ashley Windsor was third over the 4.2K course in 14:16.6. Also in the top 10 for the Mustangs were Peyton Bilo (fifth, 14:21.2), Sydney Szabo (seventh, 14:29.4) and Molly Haar (ninth, 14:38.1).
