Redshirt freshman Trevor John scored 15 points to lead six Cal Poly men’s basketball players in double figures, and the Mustangs defeated AMW Select 88-58 Thursday at the Halle Georges Carpentier in Paris.
Cal Poly improved to 2-0 during its three-game preseason tour of France, and the team’s final game will be played Friday against Brétigny Select in the Paris suburb of Brétigny-sur-Orge.
The Mustangs also defeated AMW Select 79-60 on Monday.
John went 5-for-11 from behind the 3-point line and pulled down eight rebounds for Cal Poly, which led 45-29 at halftime in Thursday's game.

David Nwaba and Jaylen Shead each scored 13 points, Ridge Shipley chipped in 12 and Joel Awich and Brian Bennett finished with 10 apiece.
The Mustangs made six 3-pointers in the first quarter to built a 24-17 lead. The hot shooting continued in the second half and Cal Poly used a 21-6 run during the third quarter to put the game away.
