Aiden Sarbeck had 17 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks as the Templeton High boys basketball team held on to win its first Los Padres League game of the year by defeating
Morro Bay, 39-37, at Morro Bay on Monday.
Nick Herring added six points for the Eagles (4-6, 1-2), which outscored the Pirates by the decisive two points in the fourth after the teams were tied 27-27 through three quarters.
Diego Rivera scored a team-high nine points for Morro Bay (4-10, 0-3).
Nipomo 83, Orcutt Academy 55
Mason Gallegos scored 19, Luke Nickelson added 17 and the hot-shooting Titans sprinted out to an 11-point lead after the first quarter.
Gallegos and Nickelson each made five 3-pointers for Nipomo (6-10, 2-1 LPL), which hit 13 triples as a team.
Tyler Diaz added 10 points, and Noah Gibbons chipped in nine.
Nipomo 58, Orcutt Academy 21
Sidney Aguilera scored a game-high 19 points, Kiesa Romero had 14 points, and the Titans led 35-6 at halftime in a home win.
Jordynn Dorado added eight points and eight rebounds, and Kylie Mendez had six points and eight assists for Nipomo (5-10, 2-1 LPL).
Morro Bay 67, Templeton 26
Skye Schwellenbach hit four 3-pointers, and she and Alexis Lewis both scored 14 points for the Pirates (6-8, 1-1 LPL).
Eliza Lewis added 12 points, and Olivia MacDonald scored nine as Morro Bay held the Eagles to just 10 points in the second half.
Savannah Spinharney scored seven points for Templeton (2-8, 0-3).

Cynthia Cadena made five saves, but the Broncos (6-5-1) conceded a penalty kick
