Atascadero High earned a share of the PAC 5 division title by virtue of its win over rival Paso Robles on Friday night.
On Sunday, the Greyhounds received another reward for their efforts — one of the four top seeds in the Southern Section Northern Division playoffs.
Atascadero (8-2, 3-1 PAC 5) will be the third seed in the division, and will host Camino League at-large Thousand Oaks (7-3) on Friday.
In all, seven teams from San Luis Obispo County made the Southern Section playoffs.
The PAC 5 co-champ and second seed Paso Robles (9-1, 3-1 PAC 5) will also host a playoff game, taking on the Camino League’s second seed Royal (4-6).

Arroyo Grande (8-2, 3-1 PAC 5), which was also a PAC 5 co-champ, was selected as an at-large team and will open on the road, traveling to Tri-Valley champion Nordhoff (6-4) on Friday.
Lompoc (10-0) earned the division’s top seed. St. Joseph and Righetti also reached the playoffs.
In the Northwest Division, four county teams advanced to the postseason. Northern League co-champ Templeton (8-2, 4-1) will host Olympic League at-large Heritage Christian (6-4) on Friday.
Another Northern League co-champ, Nipomo (6-4, 3-1) will host a playoff game, taking on South Catholic League second seed Bishop Montgomery (5-5).
Morro Bay, a Northern League co-champ, and Mission Prep also earned at-large berths and will open the division playoffs on the road.
The Pirates (5-5, 3-1) travel to Poly/Pasadena (10-0), the Prep League champion and the division’s No. 2 seed.
The Royals (3-6, 1-3 Northern League) will face the division’s No. 1 seed, Olympic League champion Maranatha (10-0).
