Ryan O’Hearn and Shane Hoelscher had two hits and a RBI apiece, lifting the Santa Barbara Foresters summer collegiate baseball team to a 2-0 home win over the San Luis Obispo Blues on Sunday in the championship game of the Rawlings Cup.
The Foresters scored one run in both the second and seventh innings and held on for the win, clinching along with the victory an automatic invitation to the National Baseball Congress World Series set to start July 26 in Wichita, Kan.
O’Hearn hit a solo home run and tripled for the Foresters, finishing 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Hoelscher doubled, and Joey Epperson was 2 for 4 for Santa Barbara.
Will Maddox and Blake Allemand had two hits each for San Luis Obispo, which fell to 29-9 overall.

Blues starter Grayson Long pitched six innings, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts.
San Luis Obispo won the Rawlings Cup Northern bracket final with an 11-2 home win over the Menlo Park Legends on Saturday.

Tyler Kollmann clubbed a solo homer in the fourth inning, Kevin Morgan finished 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and the Indians rolled past the visiting Dodgers.
Alec Smith and Garrett Giovannelli had two hits apiece for North County, and Templeton High product Michael Frigon drove in three runs for the Indians (19-8).
North County starter Jamie Good was the winning pitcher. He went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with one strikeout.
