Morro Bay High graduate Matt Hansen of the UC Davis men’s golf team shot an even-par 70 on day two of an NCAA men’s golf regional at Stanford Golf Course on Friday, bringing his two-day total to a 4-over 144 for the 12th-place Aggies.
Davis, at 573, sits almost 30 strokes behind first-place Cal, which has shot a 24-under 546. San Diego State is in second (547) and Stanford and UAB (552) are tied for third.
Hansen received All-Big West Conference second team honors after tying for 16th at the Big West Championships.
The NCAA regional continues today, with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships later this month.

Cuesta's Clemons places 10th in state in javelin
Patrick Clemons of the Cuesta College track and field team placed 10th in the men’s javelin throw at the CCCAA track and field championships at Cerritos College.
Clemons threw 167 feet, 8 inches. Logan Connors of Diablo Valley was first at 219-10.
