Adam Zakaria earned medalist honors Monday for the San Luis Obispo High boys golf team, shooting a 2-over 73 at Blacklake Golf Course in Nipomo.
Zakaria led the Tigers to a 412-483 PAC 7 win over Pioneer Valley.
Hunter Ingles carded an 82 for San Luis Obispo (3-1 PAC 7), and teammate Michael Zakaria had an 83.
Atascadero 400, Paso Robles 532

The Greyhounds’ Casey West had the best score at Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles, shooting a 1-over 73.
Brandon Vail added a 76 for Atascadero, and Randy Armas carded a 78.
Albert Mendoza shot a 99 for the Bearcats.
Morro Bay 205, Templeton no score
Templeton’s Tanner Westbrook shot a 1-over 37 at The Links Golf Course in Paso Robles, but the Eagles didn’t have enough players to qualify for a complete team score.
For the Pirates, Doug Chesbro had a 39.
Luke Holzschuh and Trevor Johnson both shot 40s for Morro Bay.
SOFTBALLArroyo Grande pitchers to Fresno State, LMU
Prior to the start of this season, Arroyo Grande had two star junior pitchers give early, nonbinding verbal commitments to Division I programs, coaches said.
Jillian Compton committed to Fresno State, according to Gary Keohohou, the manager of Compton’s offseason travel team, the So Cal Pumas.
Compton has pitched 32 1⁄3 innings this season for the Eagles, posting a 2.81 ERA and 63 strikeouts. As a sophomore, she was an all-state second-team underclassman selection by Cal-Hi Sports.
Keohohou said he expects Compton to have the potential to become an All-American during her career with the Bulldogs.
Compton’s teammate, Sydney Gouveia, has committed to Loyola Marymount, Eagles coach Kristin Ciecek said.Gouveia currently has a 0.58 ERA with 61 strikeouts through 36 innings, and is also batting a team-leading .400 with nine RBI.
Verbal commitments are nonbinding until formalized during national letter of intent signing periods.
BOYS TENNISSan Luis Obispo 11, Cate 7
The Tigers (5-3) lost only once in doubles play in Carpinteria. Adrian Angulo and Mason Hansen swept 6-2, 6-1, 6-0 for San Luis Obispo, and Tomas Jimenez and Zach Hutkin won three, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1, 6-0.
Grant Murphy and Alec Stallman added two set wins in doubles, 6-2, 6-2.
Templeton 13, Lompoc 5 (Friday)
Matt Murray swept 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 for the Eagles (8-2, 6-1 Los Padres League). Sam Rubin and Steven Moody won three sets for Templeton, going 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 in doubles.
TRACK AND FIELDWest Coast Relays (Saturday)
In addition to the results reported in Sunday’s Tribune, Templeton’s Savannah Camacho also won an event in Clovis.
Camacho, a junior, took the girls invitational 1,600-meter race in 4 minutes, 55.27 seconds.
