The San Luis Obispo Blues summer collegiate baseball team won its eighth game in a row by edging the Santa Maria Packers 3-2 at SLO Stadium on Monday night.
Austin Kingsolver singled up the middle in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive in Dylan Gavin for the walk-off win.
Former Cuesta College star Ryan Aguayo, now a redshirt junior at New Mexico State, led the Blues (13-7, 12-5 California Collegiate League) by going a game-best 3 for 4, including a double, and also drew a walk.
Kingsolver, Matt Juengel, Rafael Neda and Cory Burleson all added two hits apiece for San Luis Obispo. Juengel, a sophomore for Texas A&M, had a home run and a double.

Reliever Dylan Mendoza (1-0) picked up the win, giving up one hit in four shutout innings, striking out four batters and walking two.
San Luis Obispo starter J.D. Salles went the first five innings, scattering six hits, yielding two earned runs, striking out two batters and walking one. St. Joseph High grad Sheldon Lechuga (2-1), now with Chico State, suffered the loss, surrendering three hits and one run in the final 2 2⁄3 innings.
The Blues will open a three-game series against their crosstown rival San Luis Obispo Rattlers at 6:35 tonight at SLO Stadium.
