I am incredulous about the juxtaposition of two articles in the Local section on June 4.
The top article “SLO declares drought emergency” describes “critical water supply conditions and a severe drought.”
The following article, “The Village goes up in Pismo,” describes the 37 single-family homes, 36 condominiums, hotel and restaurant that are being built in Pismo Beach.
The city of Pismo Beach has already established mandatory water use restrictions. Gov. Jerry Brown declared a drought emergency last month. And yet, it appears that greed and myopia got married. How will these two coexist?
