Tom Fulks should be ashamed of himself (“Quarry prompts ideology to run rampant,” May 24).
He used to be a decent journalist before he became a political consultant. Because Supervisors Lynn Compton and Debbie Arnold do their homework, come prepared to board meetings and expect answers from staff, he feels the need to vilify them. I want my supervisor asking questions of staff, unlike the gentlemen currently taking up residency in that chamber, who blindly take everything staff presents as gospel.
Many of our county employees are hardworking, dedicated folks. But let’s face it: Some are on a mission to push a certain agenda at the behest of particular supervisors. I guess that means others in the county can’t question their work or Tom, Bruce and Adam will start name-calling. The questioning may have been a waste of your time, Mr. Fulks, but this is still America, and my supervisor has the right to ask as many questions as needed.
Thank you, Debbie and Lynn, for your continued pursuit of the facts.
