After reading a letter to the editor in which the writer believes landlords should rent to Section 8 folks (“Section 8 difficulties,” May 10), I have a suggestion.
Gather up your life savings and buy rental real estate — as I did.
Successfully manage and maintain those properties for years. Then, have a new management company ask you to accept Section 8 vouchers.
Then, in less than two years, watch all the properties, and I do mean all the properties, go into foreclosure and have the city condemn them.
Never miss a local story.
Then write another letter to the editor expressing your beliefs about accepting Section 8 vouchers.
