America, where one is innocent until proven guilty, where good, hard work and dedication are rewarded — unless one is Arroyo Grande city manager.
Face it, the city hall “incident” was nothing more than an excuse, largely by a relative handful of malcontents, to oust Tony Ferrara and Steve Adams. Former Supervisor Caren Ray was targeted, too. Why? That’s what many would like to know.
Did any of these people not perform? Do a bad job? Commit a crime? No. Ray was doing an outstanding job. However, she was (gasp!) a Democrat. Adams was even commended for his years of service and dedication to Arroyo Grande by the same City Council that fired him (and bungled that). But you see, there was that “incident.” Really? Two investigations found no wrongdoing or policy violations. Bad judgment, as one writer suggested? If we terminated everyone who used bad judgement, the unemployment rate would skyrocket!
I challenge anyone to express, on this page, the real reasons for the purge that took place. How about some truth and transparency, not gossip and insinuation?
Never miss a local story.
Now I see that the Tea Party types tried to take control of the Air Pollution Control District. See a pattern here?
