Bill Clinton’s dishonesty was revealed by the blue dress. He must have figured the odds of that dress surfacing were a million to one.
Barack Obama’s dishonesty has been confirmed by multiple videotaped comments of M.I.T. professor Jonathan Gruber, concerning the necessity of fooling the American people and the Congressional Budget Office to promote the Affordable Care Act. Obama must be thinking, “What are the odds? A million to one that this egotistical fool that we paid $400,000 to help us sell the ACA now goes and blabs about it?”
As Abraham Lincoln said, “You can’t fool all the people all the time.” It’s too bad The Tribune didn’t run Charles Krauthammer’s regular column on Friday, so we could read about “GruberGate” in more eloquent detail.
But two cheers for The New York Times. It covered the Gruber tapes on Page 12 on Saturday. You are going to hear many irrelevant dodges such as: “all politicians lie.” Just remember what your Mom or Dad told you: It doesn’t matter what the other kids do; you do what is right!
