Charles Krauthammer’s column Nov. 7 shows how off-base he is, with no concern for the future.
His column advocates that the very first things Republicans should do is to pass a bill calling for construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. In light of the most recent and authoritative U.N. report on climate change that further warming is “unequivocal” and will increase “the likelihood of severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts for people and ecosystems,” we can’t afford to develop the tar sands for which this pipeline is designed.
Tar sands development will also destroy Canada’s boreal forest and the creatures that live there.
Krauthammer either doesn’t have children or grandchildren or doesn't care about them.
